Admission Criteria
Clients access The Bridge services through a referral and intake process. The Bridge receives referrals from a variety of diverse human service and alcohol and drug treatment programs, as well as self-referrals. Once the referral is made, the prospective client completes an intake assessment. Each prospective client is evaluated based on the admission criteria adapted from the American Society on Addiction Medicine, Patient Placement Criteria, 4th edition. These criteria indicate appropriate dimensions that must be met in order for a client to be properly placed in the appropriate level of care. If a potential client meets the appropriate admission criteria, they are scheduled for admission to The Bridge, or placed on the waitlist until availability of admission.
Eligible clients will meet the following criteria
- Female, age 19 years of age
- Client meets the diagnostic criteria for substance use disorder and/or co-occurring disorder as identified by the DSM-5.
- Meets ASAM Patient Placement Criteria
- Must be ambulatory and capable of self-care.
